it is my pleasure to announce the long-awaited launch of no-east, the chicago bloggers webzine. i contributed in the smallest sense, but none the less, the designers did a bang-up job.
it looks great - hopefully this is the first in a series, covering many themes of chicago. the first theme was loosely based around the "streets of chicago" - enjoy!
we've got a great little group here, and i can't wait to see you guys next friday - it's been too long.
this whole working at a client's office for an extended project is taking a toll. i miss my co-workers, my office, all that jazz. and, i'm sick - no fun!
oh yes, i will be attending the new years' "return from hiatus" phish show, with many MANY thanks to my buddy aidan! back to battling my sinus infection....
hey again, it's been too long - as usual...working at this client's office has been a big cramp in my ability to blog on any kind of frequent basis - i do apologize!
if you're looking to get your groove on friday night - stop up at the note on milwaukee, at the intersection of milwaukee/damen/north. my friend droopy is putting on the subway series event with ming & FS, a couple of junglists from NYC.
then, it's off to urbana to reminisce on old times. we've been trying to get down there since school started back up, but we've been busy trying to get our schedules in order. i think we're pretty positive this time, though!
seriously, i whipped up some hummus & baba ganouj in minutes. so much easier than trying to use the blender. next up, j3s and i want to try making some specialty butters, like herb butter, garlic herb butter, or even some of these recipes, including roasted red pepper, carmalized onion, or basil butter! i can't wait to try this with some warm, crusty breads.
yes, i've been watching tennis like mad the past few days. i'm really excited about the possible roddick-sampras showdown - i can't wait to see the old man go down! i've never liked pete sampras, so this could be a really fun match.
